Turns out, one of my old friends from Gilroy High School is about to perform a premiere opera at the United Nations! Sonia Gariaeff, a mezzo soprano, has risen to become quite the singer in the New York / San Francisco opera scene. I remember acting with her in “Amadeus” at Gavilan College – waaaaay back when… I haven’t heard from her in a long time, but it’s amazing what a little Google search can do.
It’s interesting getting these little blasts out of the past.
